Shiawassee RESD/REMC 14W offers all educators in our county a FREE maker space with resources that can be used to promote creativity and problem solving in classrooms around the county. Educators check out items on our Maker Space checkout site (powered by My Turn). Instructions are included on the site along with resources available for each item available.

- Courses are virtual offerings of 10 hours completed in a three week window
- Webinars are usually virtual offerings 1-2 hours in length
- Workshops are multi-session and may be virtual, blended or in person.
Promoting STEM Through Literature

REMC Project that focuses on using STEM principles within literature. All books are available through our Maker Space Checkout system. Cards include discussion questions before, during, and after reading. Books are added each year.
Critical Thinking with Tabletop Games

REMC Project designed to encourage critical thinking in classrooms through board games and play. All games are available for checkout (sets of 3) through the Maker Space Checkout system. Game cards include general information, extensions, video walk-throughs, and skill connections.
REMC Save
REMC SAVE is a free service to all Michigan Schools. We provide competitively bid, large volume contracts for a variety of educational resources, including furniture, school and office supplies, software and digital services and technology. Awarded vendors pay a small fee to the REMC Association to cover the cost of the project and provide Michigan schools and educators free resources and professional learning statewide.
A hero doesn’t necessarily have to wear a cape and tights, maybe a hero speaks up for what’s right. Maybe that hero could be you. If you see or hear something that doesn’t seem right, you can submit a confidential tip to OK2SAY. OK2SAY allows anyone to confidentially report tips on criminal activities or potential harm directed at Michigan students, school employees, or schools. Protect yourself and others by using OK2SAY. Because if you won’t, who will?
